High-Efficiency IBC Targets Networking, Telecom Apps

Murata's DRE-11.4/53-L48 eighth brick IBC

Murata introduced its DRE-11.4/53-L48 eighth-brick intermediate bus converter (IBC) from Murata Power Solutions. The product series addresses the growing power requirements of networking and telecommunications infrastructure equipment by delivering an efficiency that the company claims is the highest in the industry at this power level and small package size.

According to Murata, the series is well-suited for applications that require a highly efficient, 600-W IBC supporting a Vin range of 36 to 60 V dc.

Features

  • Industry-standard DOSA five-pin eighth-brick package
  • 36 to 60-V dc input voltage range (50-V nominal)
  • 95.5% efficiency at full load
  • On/off control
  • Monotonic startup into pre-biased output conditions
  • Integrated baseplate design
  • 2250-V dc I/O isolation, functional insulation
